Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026. Applies to the VolumeIQ Chrome extension (v1.0.2 and above) and to this website.

1. The extension

VolumeIQ works locally in your browser and needs no account. It does not collect your name, email, payment data, credentials, location, browsing history for analytics, or the audio you listen to. It contains no analytics or telemetry and does not send data to any server.

What the extension stores on your device

Depending on your Chrome settings, preferences may sync across your devices through Chrome Sync under your Google account. Sync is handled by Google, not by us.

Why the extension needs its permissions

2. This website and the feedback form

The feedback form is optional. It is a web page you choose to open; the extension itself never sends feedback.

What we receive when you submit

Please do not write personal information (names, emails, phone numbers) in the form.

Automatic processing

To translate and organise feedback written in many languages, the text you submit (not your IP hash) is sent to an AI service operated by NVIDIA through its API, which returns a translation, a category and tags. NVIDIA may log requests as described in its own privacy policy. We use the results only to improve VolumeIQ.

Retention and sharing

Feedback is kept in a private database used only by the developer. We do not sell it or share it for advertising. You can ask us to delete a submission by writing to the address below.

3. Cookies

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. The website remembers your chosen language, and the feedback form may remember that you already submitted, in local storage on your device only.

4. Children

VolumeIQ is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

5. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. Material changes will also be noted in What's new.
