What's new
Version 1.0.3 Latest
Fixed
- Muted videos no longer start playing sound. A site's own mute (for example YouTube hover previews or muted autoplay) is now respected instead of being switched off.
- "Disable on this site" no longer pauses or closes the video. Audio is re-routed instead of replacing the player.
- Tab mixer: pause and mute now reach videos embedded in iframes, and muting also uses Chrome's own tab mute so it works reliably on every site.
- The MUTED and disabled notices no longer cover the whole popup, so every control stays usable.
- Clicking the Smart Ducking percentage no longer switches the feature off.
- Smart Ducking now restores volume faster when the other audio stops or its tab closes.
Improved
- Louder boost with less distortion. A peak limiter was added and the boost curve was tuned so the same percentage sounds louder without clipping.
- The rating prompt is now far less intrusive: it appears rarely, never blocks the popup, backs off each time you dismiss it, and has a "Don't ask again" option.
- Faster on/off switch animations.
- Fewer permissions: the extension no longer asks for the separate "tabs" permission.
